wishlist

My parents demand I make a gift wishlist for Christmas every year. They don’t appreciate such intangible entries as “world peace” or “satisfaction with present state of affairs” or even “I don’t really need anything, you guys”.

This page is a list of stuff my family can get me if they insist on purchasing me additional material possessions. Fortunately they allow things that are gift vouchers for experiences (like spa treatments). I guess if anyone else wants to get me something from this list, I can supply my delivery address, haha.

Mom, Dad, Jeff, and Tobias: go ahead and bookmark this page.

  • A winter running headband/ear warmer
  • Subscription to a yoga-related (example) or buddhism-related (example) magazine, with delivery to Tobias’s house in Providence. (That way I wouldn’t have to remember to change the address if I move soon.)
  • Something to use to clean my yoga mats. I’m sure there’s products out there. My main mat is rubber.
  • A new, sturdy, medium-sized duffle bag, good for weekend trips. (I already have a few of the huge ones with wheels. I mean instead something that could fit 2-3 basketballs.)
  • A new digestive system. (Does eBay have a black market section?)
  • A pair of tickets to the symphony. (Milwaukee, Boston, or Providence.) Chamber music is good, too, but no “pops” and no opera. Maybe in 40 years.
  • Another big comfy sweater. There’s some weird styles going on right now, with short sleeves, hoods, buttons, ties, etc. I just need another big knit thing under which I can wear a few layers. Oversize is great! Neutral or earth tones. Machine washable preferred. [Note: since making this list I bought myself two from goodwill, but if you were thinking of getting a sweater for some reason, this is the style I'd want. Size M or L.]
  • Classy, simple jewelry — silver or white gold. Bracelets or small necklaces. (I don’t wear earrings.)
  • A book/set of heavy bond white art paper for drawing. 140lb? 300lb? I don’t really know. Not too huge.
